Q: What is mulberry silk?

Q: What are the benefits of silk for skin?

Not only does silk extract less moisture from your skin than other fabrics such as cotton, it also helps any face or eye creams you use stay in place - essentially increasing their effectiveness. In addition, the smooth, slippery texture of silk eliminates tugging on delicate skin, helping to prevent creases that form as a result of moving around a lot during sleep. Q: What is hyaluronic acid infused silk?

When silk is infused with hyaluronic acid, and subsequently rubs against skins and hair, this wonder product is released slowly and continuously to replenish moisture levels and nourish all night long.

Q: Is silk suitable for sensitive skin or scalps?

Yes! Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive and allergy-prone skin and scalps. It also repels pesky parasites that can disrupt your sleep and affect your skin. The hydrating nature of silk will keep hair healthy in general and you may notice less oil production from hair follicles - something which can be a trigger for sensitive scalps.

Q: Should I use a skinny, midi or large scrunchie?

Our skinny scrunchies are designed for short or fine hair, whereas a large scrunchie is better for thick or long hair. Or you can go down the middle with a midi scrunchie. Your decision might also come down to which one you like the look of the most, although we’re sure you’ll agree they all look super cute!

Q: What is momme?

A momme is a unit of measurement used to grade the weight of silk. It refers to the weight of a length of silk measuring 100 yards long by 45 inches wide (the standard width of silk fabric). If this piece of silk weighs 22 lbs then it is measured as 22 momme. The tighter the weave, the higher the weight and momme count, so you can rest assured that the 22 and 25 momme silk we use here at Pura Silk is the best you can get. The thickness of our silk makes it soft and durable.

Q: How do you test for quality and safety?

All our beautiful silk products have been quality tested by Oeko-Tex as Standard 100 -  this means they meet Oeko-Tex’s high standards for customer confidence and product safety. You can be assured that our products are free of harmful substances and pose no risk to human health.

Q: What if I’m not happy with my purchase?
